TREATMENT COUNSELLORS
2 Permanent Full-time Positions
DUTIES:
Conduct client assessments and review client referral reports
Develop, implement, and evaluate client treatment plans
Conduct one on one and group counselling sessions
Prepare and complete client progress reports
Must be willing to do shift work as required
Participate in regular case conferencing, and staff meetings
On Call as required
QUALIFICATIONS:
Drug & Alcohol Counsellor Diploma
Knowledge of Addiction & related issues, Recovery and Relapse Process
Uphold the principles and the standard of practice of the Addiction Intervention Association and the Social Work Code of Ethics
Must be Certified or working towards Certifications as an Addictions Counsellor
Knowledge of Aboriginal way of life in the Mushkegowuk territory
Support a Cultural Based Treatment Program
Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)
Must be willing to work in a team setting
Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
Ability to speak Cree would be an asset
Must have full Class G drivers license
Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (CPIC with Vulnerable Sector preferably to be included with resume)
